Due to the ongoing travel restrictions and disruption caused by Covid-19, a number of book launches and other events of interest to our members have been cancelled or postponed. In what the SRS hopes will become a regular series, join Amy Cook, Harry McCarthy and Robert Shaughnessy as they discuss their new books with friends, colleagues and well-wishers. These books have all been published in the Elements in Shakespeare Performance series, with Cambridge University Press. This event will also introduce the book series.
Speakers:
- W. B. Worthen (Barnard College), Series Editor
- Emma Smith (Oxford), Chair and Respondent
- Amy Cook (Stony Brook), author of Shakespearean Futures: Casting the Bodies of Tomorrow on Shakespeare’s Stages Today
- Harry R. McCarthy (Cambridge), author of Performing Early Modern Drama Beyond Shakespeare: Edward’s Boys
- Robert Shaughnessy (Surrey), author of About Shakespeare: Bodies, Spaces and Texts
These events are free and we do not put a cap on the number of people who can attend: if your screen states the Crowdcast is full, please refresh your browser. By registering for this event, you are consenting for it to be recorded. Only speakers will be invited up on screen.
