Travel and Accommodation

The conference will take place at Norwich City Football Club, near the city centre. Car parking is available at the venue, and it is approximately ten minutes walk from Norwich train station.

Accommodation on UEA Campus:

We have reserved a number of rooms in Student Accommodation on UEA Campus. These can be booked when you proceed through the booking process, or by emailing artsandhumanitiesevents@uea.ac.uk 

Student accommodation rooms are en-suite, but do not include breakfast. They are £33/night.

It is approximately a 30 minute bus ride from UEA Campus to the train station, which is a 10 minute walk from the conference venue. You will need to get either the number 25 or number 26 bus, both of which run every 8-10 minutes between campus and the train station.

Accommodation Options Closest to the Conference Venue:

Holiday Inn, Carrow Road

In addition to the rooms available on campus, there are a limited number of rooms available at the Holiday Inn adjacent to the Carrow Road conference facilities. These rooms are priced at £99 per night, per room, inclusive of breakfast. If you wish to book one of these rooms please contact the Holiday Inn directly (01603 751340) and stipulate that you are part of the SRS conference and would like the special pre-agreed rate.

Travelodge Norwich Central Riverside - From £54 a night

Norwich Nelson City Centre Hotel Premier Inn - From £86 a night

Maid’s Head Hotel – From £102 a night

We have reserved a small number of rooms at The Maid’s Head Hotel in the City Centre. Rooms to be booked direct with the Hotel on 01603 272007. You will need to mention that you are attending the SRS Conference when booking. All rooms to be guaranteed by a credit card and no cancellation after 30 days prior to arrival. Guests will be charged 30 days prior to arrival. In the event the card declines they will require the guest to call and pay, or the bedroom will be released.
