Join the Society for Renaissance Studies

Benefits of Membership

The Society for Renaissance Studies serves as a leading organisation in the UK and Europe for the study of the Renaissance, organising conferences, publications and promoting the interdisciplinary study of the period. The Society offers a wide range of support to its members, including sponsoring conferences and occasional lectures, offering fellowships and a range of support for postgraduate study, and prizes for academic work on the period.  It also works extensively with schools and colleges, and runs a range of events to stimulate interest in the Renaissance and to support teachers.  It offers a forum for advertising forthcoming events, both within Britain and internationally and its website provides a portal to resources in the study of the Renaissance.   The Society arranges regular events and meetings and maintains contacts with other institutions such as The Renaissance Society of America.

Annual Subscription (UK) is currently £20.00; £15.00 for a student.
Overseas Membership costs £25.00 and Institutional Membership £35.00

It is now possible to make a secure online payment or donation to the Society for Renaissance Studies through our account with the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). Because we are a charity, membership counts as a donation on the CAF site.

Please click on the 'donate now' link below, which will take you to a page where you will be asked to 'find a charity'. Type 'Society for Renaissance Studies' in the box and click 'search'. A new page will appear with 'Society for Renaissance Studies' listed. Clicking on that name will take you to yet another page listing membership fees. Click on the arrow 'Make a donation'. You will then reach a further page where you will be able to choose your 'Donation Method'. I imagine that for most of us that means selecting the option 'with a credit or debit card'. Click 'proceed' and you will at long (and slightly weary) last arrive at the 'Donation Details' page. Thank you very much for your patience!

Please send a completed membership form to the Membership Secretary if you wish to join the Society through online donation.
